■Approved by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province in January, 2002, Xianyuan Lake Tourism Resort has a planned area of 9.8 km2. It enjoys convenient transportation and is 10 km away from downtown, making it a lake-and-mountain type of ecological suburb resort with the shortest distance from downtown in the province.
■It consists of three parts: a scenic area, An Di Ancient Township and a leisure and holiday resort. Surrounded by mountains, the well-wooded resort holds hectors of bamboo and kilometers of sweet-scented osmanthus. The sweet fragrance drifting in the air in autumn earns it the title of “Home to Sweet-Scented Osmanthus in China”. The holiday resort is a nice combination of mountains, lakes, islands, rocks, and forests, and forms a picturesque scene featured by its beauty, serenity, peculiarity, and miraculousness.
■Themed on ecological tourism, the Resort makes full use of local culture and natural resources, constituting a tourism framework with Double-Dragon Cave on the north and Xianyuan Lake on the south. The target is to make it the No. 1 resort of ecological tourism in the middle of Zhejiang and the “rear garden” of Jinua within 5 to 8 years.
